Fund Objective
The fundamental investment objective of the Fund is to achieve long-term capital appreciation through investments in shares of companies which the portfolio adviser determines have strong appreciation potential that is not reflected in the trading price of the securities.

This Fund is suitable for medium to long-term investors who are seeking exposure to Sri Lanka’s Colombo Stock Exchange, to invest in shares with value characteristics to add to the growth component of a diversified portfolio.

Meet the Fund Manager
Murtaza Jafferjee has worked in the Sri Lankan equity market since 1994. His experience includes advising individual and institutional investors on investment in equities. At JB Financial, Murtaza functions in the capacity of Director overseeing the company, as a member of the Investment Committee and as portfolio manager for the JB Vantage Value Equity Fund.
Murtaza also currently serves as an independent Director of Nations Trust Bank PLC and Serendib Hotels PLC. He was a director of the Colombo Stock Exchange from April 2007 to August 2009 and is a past President of CFA Sri Lanka. He currently holds the advocacy chair of CFA Sri Lanka that includes promoting the CFA Institutes’ code of ethics and professional conduct in the Financial Services Industry.
Murtaza holds a Masters in Financial Economics from the University of Colombo, Bachelor of Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering from the University of NSW, Australia. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
